Overview of the file:
*********************

This file gives a type writer effect of displaying text on the graphscreen.

Loading the file:
*****************

To load the file to your calculator, on windows 2000, xp, or Vista, with TI-Connect version 1.6:
Simply right click the desired file and select "Send to TI-Device..". Ensure your calculator is connected to your PC and turned on.

Using this file:
****************

The use of this file is extremely easy. First, you must know the symbols used in the string.

'/' - This tells the calculator to move to the next line on the screen.
'+' - This tells the calculator to pause, and flash the little arrow to show there is more text, like in popular video game dialogue.
'*' - This tells the calculator that this is the end of the string, and to exit the program. This has to follow the '+'.

Here is an example string of what it should look like for the program:

"HELLO./THIS IS LINE 2/AND 3+NEXT PAGE!/BACK TO 2+*->Str0

Please note the '*' is the multiplication sign on the 83+.

Variables that need to be set:
******************************

X - This needs to be set by you to determine which row to start displaying text. This gives you the ability to have it at the top or bottom and give room for borders and such.
Str0 - This is where the text needs to be.

Extra possibilites:
*******************

Text Display speed:

If you would like to add a text speed option to your options menu in your game, simply add a :For(A.0.D:End at lines 6 and 7. You can substitute variables A and D for whatever you prefer.

Jumping to another program:

Say in the text you want it to do something based on a decision. This is a bit harder to do, but can be accomplished by adding a different symbol after the '+' and having the calculator look for it in that particular section of code. For an example, jump on the forums at http://tifreakware.net and ask. :)

Misc:
*****

To see the program in action, load files D and ZTD to your calculator. Run program D, then run ZTD.

Also, for the pointer and clearing text to work, you need to have your window settings set to the following:

xMin: 0
xMax: 94
yMin: 0
yMax: 62
